Terms of Service

By using CareerFit Resume, operated by CareerFit Resume, you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What the service does
You upload your resume and paste a job description. The service rewrites parts of your resume to use the language of that posting, scores the match, drafts an email to the recruiter, and gives you a document to download. Optionally, it can place that email in your own Gmail drafts for you to review and send yourself.
What it does not do
- It does not apply for jobs on your behalf. Nothing is ever sent to a recruiter automatically. Every email is a draft you send yourself.
- It does not guarantee interviews or employment. No tool can.
- The fit score is not an ATS result. It is the model's own estimate of how well your resume matches the posting. Real applicant tracking systems are not involved and do not report scores.
Your account
You must give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and be at least 16. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- upload a resume that is not yours, or that you do not have permission to use
- use the service to impersonate anyone
- create multiple accounts to get around usage limits
- attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service
- use it for anything unlawful
We may suspend or remove an account that does these things.
You are responsible for what you send
The service reframes your real experience in the language of a posting, and is instructed not to invent qualifications you do not have. It can still get things wrong. Read every document and every email before you send it. What you send to a recruiter is your statement about yourself, not ours. The gaps the service lists are there so you can prepare for them honestly, not so you can paper over them.
Credits and payment
Tailoring costs credits. New accounts receive a number of free credits. Further credits are bought as a one-off pack, or granted by a promotional code.
A pack is a single payment. Nothing renews, nothing is billed again, no card is stored for future use, and credits do not expire. Buying a second pack adds to whatever you have left rather than replacing it.
Packs are listed on the Plans page, priced in US dollars (USD). The price is shown again, with any promotional discount already applied, before you are asked to pay. We may change prices, but a change never affects a pack you have already bought.
Payments are processed by Razorpay on a page Razorpay hosts. We never see, receive or store your card details. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank may add its own conversion or foreign-transaction fee on top of the amount shown; that fee is between you and your bank, and we neither set nor receive any part of it.
A credit is charged only when a tailored document is actually produced for you. Pre-flight checks, mismatch warnings, duplicate warnings, rebuilds, ATS audits and every kind of failure cost nothing. You pay for resumes, not for our errors.
Refunds and cancellations
There is nothing to cancel: no subscription, no recurring charge, and no stored card. Not buying again is the whole of it, and unused credits stay on your account.
Credits are delivered to your account the moment a payment settles, so:
- Paid but no credits arrived. Tell us and we will either add them or refund the payment in full. This is our mistake, not yours, and there is no time limit on it.
- Bought by mistake, nothing used. Full refund if you ask within 7 days of payment, provided no credit from the pack has been spent.
- Some credits already used. Not refundable. The service was delivered, and what it produced is yours to keep.
Ask by emailing hello@careerfitresume.com from the address on the account. Approved refunds are returned through Razorpay to the original payment method. We cannot send one anywhere else. They normally reach you within 5-7 working days, depending on your bank.
If a charge looks wrong, please contact us before raising a dispute with your bank. We can almost always resolve it faster than a chargeback can, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money except as a refund described above. Promotional codes may be limited in number or time and may be withdrawn.
Separately, daily limits apply to every account regardless of credits, so that no single account can exhaust the service.
Your content stays yours
Your resumes, your job descriptions and the documents produced for you remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service on them: to store them, and to send the relevant text to the providers listed in the Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership and will not use your documents to promote the service.
Availability
This service is offered as-is, with no uptime guarantee. It is early software: it may be unavailable, may change, and may lose data. Keep your own copy of any document that matters to you. We may change or discontinue features, and will give notice to registered users before shutting the service down entirely.
Ending it
You may delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, CareerFit Resume is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including lost job opportunities, lost earnings, or the consequences of any document or email you chose to send. Our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts at Hyderabad.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we will email registered users. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
